  • Hi. I have just won an irresponsible lending complaint with updraft. They will take back the loan from DCA and manage it themselves if your complaint is upheld. They will remove interest so you will only repay £10000 minus any other payments you have made so far.

    Thank you!

Just find it strange how I’ve not received any formal letter from Tesco saying the account is now defaulted…just one saying Westcot will be managing (not bought) the account now.

Have just double checked and credit karma is definitely saying account status as “default”

    I too have the same.
Have you gone through the link or just doing a standing order with them?

Cancel and set up a Standing Order. Otherwise they can increase the DD.

    Hi All,

I’ve just had this email from lendable.

I really don’t want them to visit my home for obvious reasons. How do I stop this?

If they scare tactic me into making payments now I will get AP markers.

Can anyone give me any advice on how I can stop them visiting at all and eventually get this to a default?

I’m 3 missed payments with these guys so far.

    Thank you

  • It isn't bailiffs who visit just door knockers. If you are in just tell them you are not dealing with them on the doorstep and shut the door. If you aren't home they will leave a card and they may or may not come back.

You can't force them to default you faster than they want just don't give in and pay them.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

The "representative" has the same rights and powers as the postman has, you don`t post on internet forums every time a letter drops on the mat, treat them exactly the same, engage or don`t engage, they are simply a representative probably from their collections dept. wanting to know why you have stopped paying.

Respond to the email and tell them why, or if its that much of an inconvenience, remove their right of implied access from your property (you have to inform them in writing & post a notice on your door to that effect for it to be legal).

Or let them call and have a little fun with them, you just have to be confident of your position and have a bit of a laugh with them, obviously only through the window, never allow them access, even though they are not bailiffs, once inside they may be tricky to get rid of.

Mostly the only evidence that they called would be a card through the door, they are very wary of being paraded on YouTube or other social media platforms these days, as many people are now wise to them, and film the encounter.

Main thing is don`t be afraid of them calling, they are just another slogger doing a job, be upfront, say your not paying, tell them why, they won`t waste much time stood on your lawn if they ain`t going to get any money out of you.
