Good morning, it's fine and dry here with a light frost, so a bit chilly. I think we all wish it would warm up a bit.
Sorry to hear you're feeling down Gers and Florenceem, and others feeling the same. Hope it soon passes.
I'm visiting a couple of elderly friends this morning with a bit of shopping that they've requested, but I can't stay too long because I've got an appt for a Covid booster at lunchtime.
I've had every Covid vaccination that I've been offered, and still had Covid twice! I didn't have it badly though.
A friend may pop round tonight for a couple of hours, and that's it really.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope the jab isn't too sore.
Lovely bright morning but will it last! After bringing in the washing yesterday before I went to work it turned into a really nice day, typical!
I had a haircut last night so look a bit better, have to wait 7 weeks for the next one to tie in with the holidays and not sure I'll cope!
Hope those feeling down are better this morning and the poorlies are recovering. Take care. XX12 -
Morning allWeather looks a bit brighter this morning after alot of rain last night. According to the forecast the wind has subsided at last so, hopefully, it may not feel so cold outside today. Will get myself moving in a moment, hang some washing on the line as it won't get blown away and then off out food shopping.Hopefully go out in the garden later as I've got some tomato plants I got the other day to plant out.Hope everyone has a good day x11

Good morning, it's another sunny day here.Yesterday I had my pool session then made a pot of soup. Later on I decided to cook a gammon joint, when the timer went off I found that I hadn't put it in the oven. Just rubbish!Today is the start of the Scottish exams month and I have my first one this morning. After that I'm going for a wee drive, if the sun is still out, just for some air.I hope that all are well.11

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It's blooming cold here too with a frost but at least it's bright with some sunshine - for now!
I have the hairdresser due mid morning but I will get downstairs dusted and vacced before she comes, then carry on upstairs when she's gone. She doesn't seem to cut much off these days and it feels ready for cutting again the following week. But I daren't mention cutting a bit more off in case I end up scalped!
Just been out delving in the freezer for today's eats (brr it's cold in the garage!) and quickly grabbed some fish for my tea and a soft pitta for my lunchtime sarnie. I haven't made any soup this week but I do keep some tins of tomato soup for such times so that will accompany it.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad lonely or down in the dumps. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
I've just had a memory pop up on Face Ache which shows that 2 years ago me and DH were walking on a cliff top at The Needles on the Isle of Wight in a t shirt enjoying the lovely view and warm sunshine. Global warming? Pah!

Thanks ScarletRibbons for the start
TA happy haircut - it’s a fine balance isn’t it? I actually got mine the length I wanted this time!
Gers - happy invigilating - that’s what I do all year at a local college (part time) and at a school during exam seasons. Hope you're feeling better today.
No work today and the sun is out. No plans for a whole three days which means I can do a bit of this and that and try to catch up with some chores and craft work. Plus, not getting too excited, but I think I tasted a bit more of my dinner last night 🤞
Happy Friday

Morning all. Bright and sunny but looks cold again.
Got a lot of household bits done yesterday, including cooking the beetroot, which was fine but not exactly amazing. I don't think I'll bother with it again.
Today we continue our Northamptonshire walk with friends and will be doing another 6 miles. Considering last week's 6 miles turned into almost 8 I hope we don't have a repeat. We always end with a pub lunch and a bit of car reshuffling but I do get a day off having to think what to have for dinner
Happy Friday everyone.10 -
Morning all
Cold and dull here again this morning 😩 we are nearly in May surely we must get some sun / warmth soon !Day off for me today and I have to take little dog for her teeth this morning only one more after today they are looking so much better and her breath is fresher too.
This afternoon I need to do my invoices I have done two just another two to do, I’ve had to do two for each person this month as they gave us a pay rise from the 7th April so two different form to complete for each person this month which is a pain but it’s a bit more money so can’t complain.
Dogs to be walked later and then dinner to sort, not sure what we are having but I’m sure inspiration will strike later.
Gers I hope you are feeling a bit brighter xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Morning all. I'm most definitely sowing my courgette and cucumber etc seeds today, then taking OHs mum to hopsital for an inesitgative procedure [ sounds dire] to save her driving. I shifted all of the compost yesterday, 17 wheelbarrows and a bit more in the bag and all of my beds are now groaning full. Goodie. Not all at once though, i did have to take a few breaks. Today things are protesting hence the easy day. I've been trying to catch up with the decluttering thread since easter and I'm down to ten pages to go...it's a very supportive thread too, well done people! Um...nowt much else to say today, my brain seems to have gone on the wonk...Nanny, hope the tests are speedy but thorough..Gers, you obviously have stuff on your mind, how's about a few days away somewhere? Chris, climate change, not global warming
otherwise my tomato plants would be blight free and my basil grow as large as my cousins [ so jealous] Izzy, hope it's not going to be a bother getting a new machine! Take care all, hope the weather is good for you today...
