car Insurance for two vehicles

 I have an 52 reg car which has been well looked after and I am loath to sell it.
I want to buy a Hybrid car a smaller one to use on a more regular basis.
Is there an insurance company that would insure them both on the same policy?
I would like to keep my NCD for both.
Or can I get an insurance on a car over 20 years old which is cheaper?

Normally you can only use your NCD for one car and would have to earn NCD separately on the second. Some insurers offer "mirrored NCD". I don't know which ones. Google for that term.

What NCD do you have to use on the second car? If you have 2 cars you need 2 NCDs, they are separate, indivisible and uncombinable. 

Google multi-car insurance and you will find several that appear to offer it. The majority however are not a single policy with two cars on it but two separate policies with a harmonised renewal date and combined payment. Some will find multi-car cheaper than two separate policies with different providers, some will find it cheaper to use different companies. 

Classic car insurance traditionally was cheap but if your car will qualify or not is another matter... note that unlike traditional insurance they are often limited mileage policies and will want proof of the starting mileage and the mileage at point of claim so no good if you declare its only 1,000 a year and then decide to use it more than the hybrid.
