Consumer Rights help

I recently contacted the company I purchased my bathroom cabinet from back in 2018 (Diego corner bathroom cabinet). As the shaving power unit within the cabinet had stopped working. We use this primarily to charge our electric toothbrushes. The lights and sensors still operate, as do the de-mister on the mirrored door.  Only the shaver unit has stopped working. The cabinet was purchased with a 10 year guarantee for parts.
However below is the response i got from the company when i emailed them:

We regret to inform you that the original owner and seller (edited) website, (Edited)  went into Liquidation on the 27th of January 2023.
Our company, (Edited), acquired the trading name and Illuminated Mirror website and branding in October 2022. We are a separate entity from (Edited) and we have no affiliation or connection with the now-liquidated company.
We understand that this may be disappointing and frustrating for you, but unfortunately, we are not able to honor any guarantees or contracts that were made by (Edited) with their customers. We are not liable or responsible for any claims or issues that arise from their transactions.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and we hope that you will understand our position.

I understand the response clearly, but i'd like to check that this is actually correct and there is nothing that can be done before i try to replace the part out of my own pocket.
Thanks for reading and i look forward to reading any replies

Kind regards
Gilp77

If the original purchase was paid with a credit card (and priced at over £100) you may be able to claim from your card company under section 75 if the merchant's liquidation breaches the contract by virtue of no longer honouring the guarantee.
