Increasingly high bills from EDF

My bills from EDF have always been quite high but recently they seem to be getting out of hand. We have a Smart Meter which submits readings but they have been quoting us nearly £500 a month for usage over the past 3 months. We are two people living in a two bedroom flat so cannot understand why the bill is so high. Each of us works so there are large portions of the week which we are not in.

I am honestly at a loss on what to do. The team there haven't been much help and the situation has become quite overwhelming. We are both in our early twenties and can't sustain that high a bill on a month to month basis.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Comments

  • Do the readings they have match the readings you can see on the meter?

Does the serial number of the meter match the one on your bill?

@oliviat774 Putting £ aside for a moment what is important is the meter readings and the letter A C E S our read/your read which follows them.

Could you download your bills and give us readings for the last few months please.

Are you all electric or do you have gas as well. What kind of heating do you have?
