hmmm.. think i can guess who has commented on this thread..I am not new to travel insurance   and for many oldies who are on medication,, everything is under control and we are aware of our  medical problems and are on treatments and more than safe to travel unlike a younger person who may not  know what round the corner !!!!!age is just a number for a great many people
Some people going on holiday are ticking time bombs not always knowing their health issues,,
premiums should be fair for all, but recently the hikes in charges for oldies (67 & 71), can be  more than the cost of the holiday ..
As for having to remember you might have seen a doctor 21 months ago for a sore throat or something ,, what more can i say !!

I am over 71 and I have replied to this thread.

If you can’t remember what you consulted your doctor for in the last 21 months or X number of years you can ask your surgery for a copy of your medical records for the period required.

    Better safe than sorry.
  • If you are confident you won't need medical cover, get a policy that only covers cancellation and baggage loss.
