Morning all, thanks Scarlet for starting. It's been raining, got wet walking the dogHope your mood picks up GersCoxy hope DH can find a job he wants soon.Nothing much happening here today, I have been busy sorting the paperwork out DH needs to respond to the claim someone has made. Yesterday we picked up a report and other stuff from the people who had the work done, they are totally behind DH, and we now have loads of stuff to back DH case. He has taken the car in for new brake pads. When we got to DS2s with DGS after school, DGD , who finishes school a bit early on a Wed. had been busy hoovering and tidying. She'd done a good job,we were very impressed, and she'd even put her uniform in the washerI had my delivery yesterday, I think my brain must have had a senior moment as we now have 4 large tubs of yogurt instead of 2, and 2 big bags of wild bird food, ah well, at least the yogurt has a goodish date on it
and the birds are being greedy at the moment!
Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -

Morning all, it was a lovely day here yesterday except for a cutting wind and today has started much the same. Mr Fix It had his retinopathy appointment yesterday and I did a load of washing which is still airing upstairs. This morning we have a food delivery arriving but from a different sm as himself has taken over doing the shopping and likes to do it online, I'm still not up to trolling the sm aisles. I'm not complaining as he's not spending as much as me and we're still eating well.
I have already pulled out the contents of my underwear drawer as it was in such a jumble and needs sorting out. I've just stopped for a coffee and a will have to go back to it as it's strewn all over the bed ! We have hm sausage casserole to finish up for tea so we'll have that with a jacket potato, yesterday we had it with mash.
I too have an itchy rash but on my back so I'm on antihistamines for allergies, the itching drives you mad. Sorry to all those who are down in the dumps at present, it isn't a nice feeling and hopefully will soon pass.
Coxy hugs to your DH and yourself, hope he finds some work soon, perhaps a few days away may take his mind off things.
Take care all, stay positive.

Afternoon all. I was too fraught to post this morning after cat shennanigans and way too early deliveries..The Princess went missing just after I had delivery of the ocmpost [at half seven! what kind fo time do you call that?!], moved my car out fo the way, then had to immediately move it again because the neighbours were hanging out their upstairs window telling me one of them was off to work this second] I thought she'd jumped in his truck, did all the things you're supposed to do while coping with a dying phone, lots of panic, lost my mug of tea, she turned up an hour later looking like butter...and I still haven't found my tea. But at least I'm calm now. I did another verge, and got talking to another neighbour opposite, so he inspected my garden, I inspected his [ looks like the foxes live at his] and got promised some quince from him, which is great, I give him a christmas cake every year, so fair exchange I think
Started emptying the compost adn it's just started bucketing down so a sit down with a cup of tea i on the cards while it lashes down. I'm makig some kind fo concoction with mince later, no idea what, it may involve chorizo and be spicy, or it may involve gravy and mash, dunno yet.
Sorry so many of you are suffering with poo weather, it makes such a difference when it's sunny it's true. Izzy, i can't believe you had snow! how random is that! Coxy, I say go for it, because as I always say, you'll never lie on your deathbed saying, wow, i wish I'd worked more. Besides, there are all kinds of part time things you could do to supplement your income if you wanted to later on. Legal ones mostly but...Rosy, good on his clients for being behind him too! dp1, hope you get something for the rash soon, put a fire up their behinds...WL, it's lovely with oil and vinegar too and some barely cooked fried onions cold [ or room temp anyway] Take care all, fingers crossed for better weather for you all, or roaring fires instead!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12 -
Hi All
Late one from me.
Coxy go for it as others have said. DH took early retirement 2 years next month and I was made redundant.
Since then we have moved to a bungalow in a different part of the country. My health scare in January made me realise we really had made the correct decision.
Gers sending you ,Izzy and others who are down massive hugs xxxx
This cold weather really has been getting everyone down and like you we are praying for warmer weather and sun to appear sooner rather than later.
Hugs to all who want them
