Bought a gerbil cage without realising that it was an attachment to the bigger system. When I tried to set it up, there was a hole in one side (where a tube attachment should go).
Went to take it back, there was a huge queue, woman at the counter saw me, asked if it was a return, then shouted for a colleague, who took me to a seperate till and gave me my refund without having to wait.
she even gave me cash when I'd paid by card, which came in handy close to Christmas

We also recently recieved excellent customer service from Pets at Home.
When in their store, realised they are selling the cat-nappers again priced at £25.
We bought one a couple of years ago with a £5 voucher from their magazine, but have since adopted another kitten and need another.
I sent an email to their customer service asking if they were issuing these vouchers again.
I recieved a reply the next day advising that there isn't an applicable voucher in circulation at the moment. But if i print off the email and take it to store, it will authorise the store to deduct £5 for me.
Now how nice is that!
Just shows, doesn't hurt in asking.0
