No. Of course not.lillysmudge said:Ok, I’ll get on it now. If I do end up in court and I lose, are there court fees etc to pay on top of the fine?
And you don't have a fine.
The NEWBIES thread already tells you that people who lose at hearings pay LESS THAN THE CLAIM.
The Claimant is obviously not the solicitor.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies, that was a stupid question. I’m rushing and panicking as I’ve only seen the letter on the last day!
Thank you for that clarification, I’ve sent off the email so will see what happens.0 -
As above (in bold) is your next step when they send the reply that we don't want to see (please do not show us their reply ... we never need to again).Coupon-mad said:if you get a LBC from DCB Legal ... see the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread for a response for that letter
and to report the solicitor to HMRC when they pretend that "VAT doesn't apply" to the added fake £70 'debt recovery fee'...

Hi everyone,
So I’m back 2 years later with a second Letter Before Action from Civil Enforcement.
They sent me a first Letter Before Action on 25/09/2024 and I replied using the template from this site asking what the £70 charge was and whether it was damages etc and they DID respond to this by letter on 25/10/24 which I didn’t respond to.
I’ve now been issued my SECOND LBA on 27/11/25 (is this normal for them to be chasing this so long after - I thought they’d left me alone!!).
Anyway, I’ve read the newbies thread and understand the next thing to do is to email them once again using the template in the thread (‘the alleged debt is disputed and will be viciously defended’ etc)?
I will also include a paragraph with my reasons for disputing: it was dark and the signage is not lit up and not plentiful etc.
However, is it also worth mentioning to them that I’m classed as a Vulnerable Adult and would like to be treated as such? I mentioned in my initial post that I am under services due to severe mental health conditions. I would plan to possibly seek damages due to stress and lean on this for ‘evidence’… could this help deter them?
What will happen once I’ve relied to this second LBA?
I have a 3 month old baby and am really contemplating whether I have the energy to continue with this. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated and welcomed. I’m on day 25 since the second LBA has been issued so I need to form a plan.
Thanks again everyone.

Yes - send that plus evidence of your condition and tell them to cease and desist, or invoke the Breathing Space rules.*
*They won't know what that is, which is a good thing. Let them dig a hole. Tell us if you get a Claim Form in 2026. Dead easy to handle.
