High income child benefit tax

Hello MSE friends,
My partner has just had his payslip through and he still has the tax code that applies the HIBC tax on it. Under the new cap of £60k he shouldn’t have to pay this. I had, maybe naively, assumed that it would have been automatically updated as it impacts thousands of people. Does anyone know if you have to contact HMRC to get this resolved or is it just a case of waiting it out?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks

I thought I'd read somewhere that tax codes would be reviewed in this situation.
Has he checked his Personal Tax Account to see if there is any update?0
