Halifax mortgage application timelines

Options
Hi,

Just being impatient! Following our AIP, we submitted our mortgage application through our broker with Halifax last week Thursday (18/04), hard credit checks were completed same day and valuation was booked in for today (24/04).

We haven't hear anything to suggest otherwise so assuming the valuation is going ahead today as planned but just wanted to get an idea from others how long from valuation taking place to when mortgage offer was received and if any had actually received declines at this stage for anything that was not to do with the valuation. The property we are purchasing is a 10 year old townhouse that we got under market value due to the current owners being in a rush to sell so I am not too concerned about issues arising from the valuation.

Thank you!

    Sounds like our situation.

Broker submitted Halifax mortgage application on the 18th
Hard search and affordability searches same day
    Requested another document on 22nd
    Valuation talking place today, 24th!

Even though the broker submitted it, you can actually call the Halifax mortgage team and they'll give you an update.

If the valuation is done today, it may be offered today or in the next couple of days. My latest Halifax app was submitted 16th and valued and offered on 22nd.
