Lease Car Insurance

Just about to take on a leased car for the first time. Struggling to find a company that will insure me because car is in the name of the lease company/registered holder rather than me (no other issues). Does anyone have experience with this and/or know any companies I could try ?

Use the normal tools like confused.com and then the few that dont play on aggregators like Direct Line and Aviva.

Historically it used to be a problem, and inevitably there will still be some that dont like it, but most are comfortable with it these days from my experience. Presumably you have its registration number etc already? Is it bringing back the right car details from the DVLA?

Cheers did finally find one....and then loads. Some don't differentiate between registered owner and registered keeper. If they do its straight forward enough.

There is no "registered owner" as there is no database of vehicle ownership, there is the DVLA's that holds the registered keeper and then there is the db that stores information on finance secured against vehicles but neither say who the actual legal owner is.

In a lease situation normally owner and keeper are both the finance company.

However, there are quite a few one star reviews on Trip Advisor stating that the process takes forever and that NEST keep stalling and asking for additional ID etc after promising to pay.
Compare the market allow the input of the lease company.  Direct Line does too.
