When you try to send a message to a friend>
"This person is not contactable on Messenger."
Does this indicate they have restricted you? :-(

If they have blocked you what's the point blocking them ? they don't want to talk to you and they won't know anywaymissile said:Strange I can still see their profile and posts. Guess there is a feature to restrict messenger? Where do I find that so I can restrict them in return3 -
You can block chats and phone calls through fb messenger without blocking on fb. You can just block them on fbmissile said:Strange I can still see their profile and posts. Guess there is a feature to restrict messenger? Where do I find that so I can restrict them in return1 -
Well if they restricted me i.e. don't want me contacting them on messenger, but still want to remain friends to see my posts. That is a fair weather friend who I don't need in my life."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Exactly they just want to keep tabs on you by nosing at what you post, I would block themmissile said:Well if they restricted me i.e. don't want me contacting them on messenger, but still want to remain friends to see my posts. That is a fair weather friend who I don't need in my life.3 -
The point is> A "friend" is someone you want to communicate with. They have restricted me, I have no idea why. They still want to remain friends, presumably to spy, see my posts and by extension view my friends pages. When they next try, they may realise they have been rumbled.MikeJXE said:

This is someone I considered to be a close friend in real life. They have visited my house many times. "If you need anything call me". Presumably I have done something to annoy them, but have no idea what and don't feel inclined to ask.marcia_ said:

OP, if your friend is above a certain age, then I'd guess there's a good chance they've pressed the wrong button, or pressed the right button for the wrong reason. I do it all the time. If they were a good friend, you'd have their mobile number though surely and send them messages via WhatsApp?0
