Used Car - Rejection Rights

Hi everyone, Just needed some advice on what everyone out there thinks of this issue. Purchased a convertible used car that has significant water ingress through the roof & rear of the car - about 3-4 water ingress points - it's basically leaking inside pretty quickly when it rains. Didn't notice this issue until it rains - but water seeps in, onto wiring, rear seat, alarm goes off constantly. The rear seat is soaking wet underneath, carpet wet/damp, also 2 leaks in the boot.
Asserted rights to reject the car within the 30 days which was declined by the trader stating only mechanical issues are enough to reject and not major/significant. Anyhow booked in for repair, quote has been provided for new seals that are £1k+, trader declined for the work to be carried out at a dealer. Now what do you recommend is the best next step, section 75 (part paid on credit card)? small courts claim? its now past the 30 days but was told clock stops on informing trader of the issue.
Trawling through websites/forums, I can see that people have sucessfully rejected new & used cars due to defective seals but not sure best & quickest option from here?
Cheers, Jake
