They will have to apply for citizenship as they won’t have an automatic claim for British Citizenship. The DNA tests will have to be from. MOJ approved provider. https://www.gov.uk/get-a-dna-test/if-youre-giving-dna-evidence-to-the-home-office0

Just because I’m curious, how did they manage to do a DNA test when they’ve never met him? Or did they make contact and he agreed to one?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Hi! Yes it’s very intriguing isn’t it 😂🤯 she contacted him, and they’ve spoken on phone/FaceTime over a month or so, he pushed for the test, to verify, as you can imagine when you’re approaching your 60’s this is a huge shock, as my father says’your past will always catch up with you’ 😂 we could have kids popping up from all over, who knows 🤷♀️ he’s been extremely irresponsible it seems over the years 🙄 I think her mother finally gave his name over and he was traced through LinkedInelsien said:Just because I’m curious, how did they manage to do a DNA test when they’ve never met him? The husband of a friend of mine died recently. Doing family history she did DNA tests for the family. The matches popped up for her kids found brothers and sisters in various locations around the uk and Ireland. To say she was shocked and disappointed in her husband is an understatement.Mintyrose said:

Yes. I think the possibility of unwelcome surprises isn't something people always take account of before sending these things off. You are searching for long lost cousins then suddenly find out your dad isn't your biological dad after all. For example. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Oh crickey that’s heartbreaking! That would be really hard to come to terms with, I’m so sorry for her. The implications are just so wide spread aren’t they, I’m at the point of disbelief, and just don’t trust them, cant get my head round the fact they ‘love’ my dad so much after only ever talking in the phone for a few months. He’s 85 and vulnerable, and has already lost access to one grandson from my brothers past relationship 🙄marcia_ said:
