APCOA - late pay - forgot to pay, paid 6 days later

Hi, I received a 'Penalty Notice' from APCOA Parking (UK) Ltd. I parked at a Railway Station and forgot to pay for the day. I then realised my mistake and paid approximately 6 days later. I tried to do this via late pay but it only allows for 24 hours after you park. Therefore I had to pay on that 6th day as if that was the date I had parked my car and paid the full amount it would have been to pay for the full day 6 days prior. Well aware this isn't within the rules but I assumed I would get a fine through the door so thought if I paid the right amount within the week it would be overlooked - however that's not the case! I can't see how the NEWBIE thread can help in my situation so if anyone can point me to a specific thread or give me some advice that would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Read the other Apcoa threads regarding railway station pcns on here over the last couple of years, because POFA 2012 schedule 4 doesn't apply on railway land, so use a template appeal as keeper to that effect, don't mention anything about who was driving or about the circumstances etc, so keeper appeal based around the law3

It will time out after 6 months if this is a Penalty Notice rather than a 'parking charge notice'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
