Settling outstanding debts not on credit file

Hi
I have some outstanding debts from 2012 for which I have been paying £1 a month ever since. None of these debts show up on my Experian credit report (which is rated good) I have been offered a settlement sum for one and wanted to know what would happen if I paid off all these debts with settlement figure, would the debts then show on my credit report?
Thanks

Have you checked all 3 of your credit reports? Not all lenders report in to all 3 CRAs.

Ah no I haven't - I'll have a look now, thanks0

I've checked all three and there are no reports to any0

They can't add back old agreements to your credit file if that's what you are asking - longer than 6 years they will be gone forever if they are not on now e.g. with an AP
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Debts older than 6 years won't appear on your credit files, but the fact you've been acknowledging them by making token £1 payments means they are still legally enforceable. If you've got the money and the settlement figure seems reasonable then I'd personally pay it to make it go away, but it won't change how the debts are being reported (or not being reported in this case) to your credit files.
