Nissan Qashqai maps update

My 65reg Qashqai sat nav is somewhat outdated.

The obvious easy option is to connect it to Google Maps but sadly, it won't link to Android Auto.

I see I can buy an updated SD card to plug in for £110 but surely, there must be a more MSE way?

Probably do but you have to pay for it, the options via third parties installs are usually cheaper than official ones. 

I had 3 years + paid for 3 years on my Mazda then switched to google maps

@J_B do Nissan do a compatible Android Auto upgrade? I know my Mazda which is a year older than yours has this, it's more expensive than the SD card but of course gives you more options with live traffic etc

for over a hundred quid but reading the page it says <<Map data collected by HERE is from Q1/2021.  This update version is the final map update for this system and will be available while supplies last>> which doesn't fill me with much hope.

It might just be easier to spend 50p (?) on a screen mount for my phone!

You will be better off finding a Nissan forum and asking there. Quick search suggests V7 2021 is the last map update for the Connect 3 units.

I'm a member of a facebook qashqai group and there's quite a few posts about getting an updated SD card from ebay (if that's what yours uses)

It certainly does use an SD card - presumably (?) it's just plug and play? Will look tomorrow ...

Sellers come and go depending on what they are doing so better to look for current results

I've just installed a new sd card today.  67 Qashqai with Connect 3 v5 SD card - updated to v7.  Cheapest I could find on Ebay (from UK seller) was £30.  Got one from Alixpress £21.  Its a cloned card but it seems to work okay.  Was very slow to begin with but switching off and restarting seems to have speeded it back up.
