Paying Student Loan in retirement?

Options
Does anyone know this?

I took out another student loan as a mature student.
So some will still be outstanding after I retire.  Most loans get wiped at 65 years old.  But this one doesnt, it says it gets wiped after 30 years.  But that is after Ive retired.

So what are the implications?  I wont be earning so they cant take repayment?  But also it wont be wiped.  This seems like a weird situation?

I haven't paid my student loan in 14 years. I've not worked due to medical conditions. The only contact i have had with the student loan company is a yearly statement. It just sits there accruing interest until it gets to 30yrs or you die

If you won't be earning what will you be living on?  Can they take ££ from pensions if they exceed a certain amount?

No they cant take it from pensions or benefits. Its taken only from earnings even if you have substantial savings.
