Buildings insurance for a terrace house inc let basement flat

Hi there, I own a terrace house with a basement flat which I let out. I currently pay landlord insurance on the flat inc buildings cover and buildings and contents insurance for the whole house on my personal policy. I feel I am paying for buildings cover twice. Any advice on how I should do this eg should I just get insurance as a maisonette for the bit I live in - any advice welcome.

Have you legally split the property into two addresses with separate deeds? is it a half way house of split for some things but still on the same deeds? Or legally is it all one address still?
To confirm, as some are loose with their terms, it is a short term rental below not a leasehold?0
