Google Maps Language - Finnish - can't change back to English - HELP PLS

Hello
The Google Maps App on our Huawei P30 Lite phone was working fine - owned the phone more than a year. Suddenly it has started speaking directions in Finnish language. We went into Settings and there is a section to choose a language. It already shows English. We selected English again and restarted the phone, but it is still speaking in Finnish.
Has anyone encountered this problem before and might have a suggestion for how to get back to English?

I'm wondering if you have changed the language for text, but not the language for navigation.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1 -
