Google Maps Language - Finnish - can't change back to English - HELP PLS

The Google Maps App on our Huawei P30 Lite phone was working fine - owned the phone more than a year.  Suddenly it has started speaking directions in Finnish language.  We went into Settings and there is a section to choose a language. It already shows English.  We selected English again and restarted the phone, but it is still speaking in Finnish.

Has anyone encountered this problem before and might have a suggestion for how to get back to English?

I'm wondering if you have changed the language for text, but not the language for navigation.

Turns out it was Estonian, not Finnish!  But thanks also to flaneurs_lobster for the laugh!
