It's got his photo on. He sent it to me to prove he wasn't going to rip me off.Aylesbury_Duck said:
1. Are you sure it's his licence? Why did he send you a photo of his licence?Angel2324 said:

Don't threaten him with TS, they won't intervene in a situation like this and he'll know you're bluffing. Send him a simple, clear message saying you want the work done by (pick a date at least two weeks from now) or you will resort to booking someone else to do the work and chase him for the cost, using small claims court if necessary.Angel2324 said:I did say about getting someone else to do the repairs & that he pays for it but he said no, he'll sort it.
I'm tempted threaten him with trading standards & small claims court if he doesn't sort it. But ideally it'd be better for him to fix his work.
I dont know what to do for the best.
Think because I'm a woman on my own, he thinks I'll leave him be.
I assume you have his name and business address? If not, you won't be taking him to court, so don't threaten it if you can't follow through with it.
2. Who is your contract with? Him as an individual, or a business? It's with him, as an individual. It's his business, only him doing the jobs. No one working for him.0 -

It's his business, just him doing jobs. No one working for him.0 -
I'm trying not to labour the point, but I'd do some homework if I were you. I could send you a photo of "my driving licence with my photo on", and it be no such thing. It's probably all OK but if this does 'go legal', you need to be sure, and a photo of a photo of an alleged driving licence is not really good enough evidence for you to sue.Angel2324 said:

Presumably she saw it was him when he arrived to do the job.Aylesbury_Duck said:

I'm sure she did, but all that proves is that he's the guy who sent her a photo of himself from what he claims is his driving licence. I'm not being deliberately difficult, if he is a rogue trader, that's exactly the sort of stunt he'd pull to "prove he's genuine" and to give "his address". If this does end up with either the threat of court or actual court action, OP needs to know his address, which might not be the address on a photo of a driving licence she was shown at some point before money changed hands.sheramber said:
