Do the government still do boiler grants for boilers over 20 years old. We have a boiler that needs replacing but struggling to afford it.  We have a son on Dla. Keep seeing adverts but not sure how genuine they are particularly as when you click on them they ask for so much Information

    No not for gas boilers but there is the ASHP £7.5k grant

    The Boiler Upgrade Scheme - Had a quote from Octopus earlier in the year, and it was very close to what I paid for a new gas boiler (within £100 or so). The quote included new, larger radiators, a DHW tank, plus (limited) plumbing & all electrical work. All subject to an on-site survey. A pretty good deal to my mind, just unfortunate that this price wasn't available when I was looking for a new boiler last year.

    Or you might be able to get an ASHP free on the ECO4 scheme, as benefits are involved. You could get free solar panels and additional insulation, too.
