Cifas Marker (misuse of facilities)

Hi Lloyds bank put Cifas marker on my name in 16 April 18,so on 17th April 24 I did DSAR and it's been removed from CIFAS database.
My question is -
1 - I wanted to buy a house and it's been reserved, what is the chances to aprove the mortgage after kne week of Cifas removed?
2- misuse of facilities marker was not showing in my credit report even when marker was in my name, is it credit agencies/lenders enquiry directly on CIFAS database or how often credit agencies/lender updates their database?

There is a chance, but a week is not something I would be willing to risk, give it a month. If a bank checks you once and sees the marker then they will not lend even after it has gone.Ta_pat said:Hi Lloyds bank put Cifas marker on my name in 16 April 18,so on 17th April 24 I did DSAR and it's been removed from CIFAS database.

It would never show on your credit report, CIFAS is separate banks check directly with CIFAS.Ta_pat said:2- misuse of facilities marker was not showing in my credit report even when marker was in my name, is it credit agencies/lenders enquiry directly on CIFAS database or how often credit agencies/lender updates their database?
Firstly you should speak to a broker rather than applying directly with a bank, secondly do not apply for a mortgage (or any financial product) with the bank (or wider group) that applied the CIFAS marker as they will almost always reject you, thirdly, do not apply for a mortgage with any banks that you applied directly a product whilst you had the marker as they will still have the CIFAS marker rejection from previous applications. Finally, if you have had a CIFAS marker for the last six years are you actually in a suitable position to get a mortgage, credit history, deposit, bank accounts etc.?0 -
