Are Bluetooth 3mm adaptors reliably good?

Options
I recently bought wireless earphones (haven’t had them before) & didn’t realise until now they need Bluetooth to work. Do the Bluetooth 3mm adaptors on ebay usually work with mp3 players? Thanks for any helpful notes or recommendations!

Buy cheap and they will probably work but for how long?   Buy a proper named item from a company thats been in
business for many years and offer a warranty then its likely to last a lot longer and be better quality.

If just for audio content they they work reasonably well (given the quality constraints above). If being used for a video / audio source then there can be some minor lag. So if you have the ability on the device to delay the video and can therefore match it to the audio so they sync then all is good. If you can't it can get annoying.
