Parking fine from APCOA

Hi everyone, i've read the newbies thread but i just can't make sense of it quick enough. My dad drove into heathrow last month in the first week of march and at the beginning of this month received a parking charge (dated 1st of April but received many days later) as he forgot to pay the £5. He had asked me to as hes not good with tech but i must have forgotten to in time.
I believe i can appeal for him but how does it work? Would our car be banned from using APCOA parking ever again? Would i pay £5 instead of the fine?
Thank you

There is no fine.
There's no risk, no ban and no £5 to pay.
This is a cinch for the keeper to win.
Why not just read the Heathrow drop off group thread and see how easy it is? I have put in bold your forum search words...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you very much! Just wondering, why is it so easy to appeal? I'd imagine the £5 for drop off is to try stop too many cars from dropping off constantly? It's bizarre to me but i'm not clued up on private parking operators.Coupon-mad said:There is no fine.

If you read the threads you'll see exactly why it is so easy to beat.3

@Dragonflew1010, did your dad successfully challenge this charge?
Without feedback, it's difficult to know what works and what doesn't.2 -
Yes he did! I can add details tommorow but it was essentially them removing the fine out of goodwill.KeithP said:@Dragonflew1010, did your dad successfully challenge this charge?
