IN FOR A PENNY PRIZE DRAW: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (“Prize Draw”)

 

Who can enter:

 

The Prize Draw is open to entrants who are: (a) resident in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man during the Prize Draw period and prize fulfilment period; (b) aged 18 years or over; and (c) not employees of the Promoter, STV Group PLC, or are an immediate family member of the same; and (d) not in any way or professionally connected with the Prize Draw.

 

Please note that entrants must have a UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man phone number and address in order to be eligible to win the Prize Draw. 

 

Opening/closing date & time:

 

• Prize Draw in relation to the In For a Penny programme (the “Programme”) opens for entries online via the www.itv.com/penny, www.itv.com/win or www.stv.tv/win websites (“Website”) on Friday 19 April 2024.
• Prize Draw closes for entries online at 4.00pm on Monday 10 June 2024.

• The draw will take place within one (1) week of the closing date and time for all entries.

How to enter & cost of entry:

Prize: 

 

There is one (1) prize of a seven-night trip for the winner and up to three (3) companion(s) to Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida (USA). The prize includes: 

• return Economy Class airfares between a major international airport in the UK and Orlando International Airport, Florida;
• return land transfers from the Orlando International Airport in Florida to the Walt Disney World® Resort; 
• room-only hotel accommodation based on four (4) people sharing one (1) standard room at one (1) of the following Walt Disney World® Resort hotel, at the prize provider’s sole discretion and based on availability: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge; Disney's Polynesian Village Resort; Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa; Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa; Disney's Wilderness Lodge; Disney's Beach Club Resort; Disney's Contemporary Resort; Disney's Yacht Club Resort; or Disney's BoardWalk Inn; 
• eight (8)-Day date-based Park Tickets with Park Hopper Plus Option to be taken-up during the holiday; and 
• one (1) Disney gift card of USD $2,500 (two thousand five hundred US Dollars). Please note that the is subject to further restrictions. The Disney Gift Card can be used at participating locations throughout Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, Disney Springs, Walt Disney World® Water Parks, and Walt Disney World® Resort hotels, toward spa experiences, merchandise, dining (including alcohol) and recreation and at Disney owned and operated locations where credit cards are currently accepted. Please note that the winner will need a current and valid credit/debit card with sufficient available funds in order to check in at the Walt Disney World® Resort hotel for security deposit purposes. 

 

The prize must be taken up between 1 July 2024 and 31 September 2025, and must be booked at least sixty (60) days prior to the preferred travel dates. The winner and their companion(s) must travel at the same time on the same routing. Please note that departure the departure date and accommodation are subject to availability. Certain restrictions and black-out dates may apply. 

 

Where the winner’s companion is aged under 18 years old and is not travelling with a parent or legal guardian, such companion must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years old or over. Any children must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over.

 

The winner and their companions must hold a current and valid passport and any other relevant travel documentation (including but not limited Covid-19 testing and vaccination or any other documents that may be imposed by the authorities from time to time) required for travel to and entry to the United States of America, including but not limited to making a timely application for receipt of ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) authorization under the Visa Waiver Program. With effect from 1 April 2016, travellers to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program must hold a passport with an integrated chip. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the holiday. It is the responsibility of the winner to (i) organize and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for the travelling party, (ii) ensure that the travelling party is adequately insured for the duration of the holiday including without limitation covering overseas medical costs, (iii) comply with the applicable laws and follow the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office’s travel advice in respect of Covid-19 which can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus, and (iv) ensure that the travelling party adheres to the travel itinerary and other relevant safety instructions as set out by the prize provider. It is the responsibility of the winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the winner and/or their companion when taking up the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines. Please note that the prize provider shall not be liable for any costs or losses through the winner’s failure to take out adequate insurance cover.

 

Please note that age and height restrictions may apply to some attractions. Parks, attractions and/or entertainment may change operating hours or be closed due to refurbishing, capacity, weather or special events and may otherwise change or be discontinued without any notice and without liability to the prize provider. Advance registration is required to gain entry into a Walt Disney World Theme Park. It is the winner’s and their companion(s)’ responsibility to make reservations for the Theme Parks that they wish to visit using the Disney Park Pass Reservation System. The winner must make a separate reservation for each date they plan to, even with a multi-day ticket at each Theme Park they wish to attend. The prize provider cannot be held responsible for the winner’s failure to make reservations and will not be able to change travel dates once travel costs have been incurred.

 

Any costs incurred in addition to the prize elements listed above shall be incurred at the winner’s and/or their companion(s)’ expense including but not limited to: UK transfers, meals and drinks, hotel room service, laundry service, alcoholic beverages, merchandise, souvenirs, local and long distance telephone calls, tips, gratuities, service charges or taxes and all other charges and items not otherwise described in the above.

 

The prize provider reserves the right to substitute elements of the prize at any time or postpone the holiday, including but not limited to the closure of Walt Disney World Resort due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.

 

The prize and all elements within may not be sold, traded, transferred, rescheduled to dates not within the fulfilment period set forth above, or refunded. There is no alternative prize and the prize cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize. If the winner elects to partake in any or all portions of their prize with fewer than three (3) companion(s), the prize will be awarded to the winner and any participating companion and any remainder of the prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation.

 

Once the booking is confirmed, the winner and their companion(s) will be subject to the travel conditions of the airline. The prize provider cannot be responsible for any unforeseen cancellations of flights or other arrangements.

  

Upon booking their holiday, the winner and their companion(s) agree that they will be subject to Walt Disney World Resort Booking Terms and Conditions (save for the sections relating to the fees of booking) which can be found here.

 

The prize provider, its parent, related, affiliated, and subsidiary companies and their respective officers, directors agents, employees and assigns shall be released and discharged from any and all legal claims, losses, injuries, demands, damages, actions, and/or causes of actions that arise out of and/or in any way related to the prize, the receipt, use and/or enjoyment of the prize.
