Revolut, are they really protecting you?

I seem to be out on my own with this but I don’t see a huge problem with it. Revolut think that the payment is a scam and have done everything they can to warn the customer. They are then confirming to Revolut that they understand the concerns but with to proceed anyway.
if it’s a case of ticking a box to say that they understand the risks they could probably get away with later saying that they didn’t fully understand them. Going to the trouble of writing it down is a further step. How an ombudsman would treat it, I have no idea.
If I were asked to do this I’d be more than a little peeved but I would comply.
I should point out that I’m not saying that the OP is being scammed, merely that the FI thinks so.5 -
