Will Beneficiary

My father passed away last September, I lost contact with my father a few years ago, I have purchased a copy of his will from the gov webiste and I am listed as a beneficiary,  I have contacted the company whom did the will to say I lost contact and have moved a few times, but not getting a reply.  Do I need to just wait to be contacted some how. or is this a way of finding whom is dealing with the will?

The will should indicate who the executor is.  That's where you need to start.

Yes. I would try calling them and check that they have received your contact and made a note of your contact details. 

If you have lost contact with other members of the family who are also named as beneficiaries, you could ask Will Drafters to pass your contact details onto the family members with a request that they contact you. You might want to be in touch with them, if Will Drafters are dragging their heels.

Does it look as if he had enough assets to pay all bequests?

If you downloaded the Will presumably you also have the Grant of Probate? That will tell you who the executors are. It may be that for whatever reason this company have stepped down from being executors and another beneficiary has taken over. It will also tell you the value of the estate.

I am a bit surprised that a company being execs have got probate already with the death only being last September - seems very quick so they are not dragging their heels in that area at all

Quite, barely 6 months for Gazette advert, which I am fairly certain a company would do, well a solicitor would anyway.
