Just received a message from a buyer asking for a refund, as the item (according to her) has not been received.
Looking on the EVRi website, it says it WAS delivered 2 weeks ago.
I have just uploaded the tracking details to eBay
How do I reply politely stating this fact ?

Have Evri confirmed it was delivered to the correct address?Life in the slow lane2

The tracking details show a picture of the bin .. so no doubt the driver just popped it in the bin. The bin number does match the house number. I do wonder though, why a delivery driver would think a bin is a good place to leave a parcel.born_again said:Have Evri confirmed it was delivered to the correct address?
I have replied to the buyer and stated that the item is reported to have been delivered. I provided screen-shots too, from the EVRi website giving all the details.1 -
Ask the buyer to open an INR case, then upload the tracking details to the case.0

When EVRi put things in teh bin, do they also put a card through the letterbox?
I'm with the buyer on this. The item is currently in landfill. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Evri delivered my parcel 3 doors down from me and marked it as delivered but they didn't leave a card and the tracking showed a wall so that was fun trying to find out where it was left.GDB2222 said:When EVRi put things in teh bin, do they also put a card through the letterbox?

According to the Consumer Rights Act, the person who contracts with the courier (i.e the seller) is responsible for the delivery of the item unless or until they can prove that the goods were delivered to the person - that is the purpose of the "open doorway" photograph. "I put it in a bin" - no matter whose bin it is - or "I threw it in the garden" is not a delivery unless that was agreed between the buyer and the seller. "Repopted to be delivered" is not the same thing as delivered - if Evri are saying that they delivered it to a bin or another unsafe place it is up to the seller to resolve that with Evri.3
