Help with cheap but GOOD wedding photographer for our summer wedding.
Wedding insurance is vital. I know a wedding venue that burnt down and those who had wedding insurance were able to get the costs of relocating last minute to a more expensive location covered. It's covered new dresses when bridal shops went in administration and I think some cover theft of wedding gifts as a pile of cash filled envelopes can be tempting for some people.
Thank you all for your comments they have been really helpful.
We are in South East England bordering a few counties, only an hr from London.
We hadn't thought of wedding insurance, any recommendations of companies to use?
It is all very daunting and your posts have helped give us some ideas of questions to ask, we have allocated around £1500 - £2k max for a photographer.
We had a policy with M&S - didn't need to use it though.

I wouldn't call that cheap in all honesty. I'd say that's a very healthy budget. We paid £1500 for an experienced and excellent wedding photographer (who was previously a wildlife photographer) and although it was 5 years ago I doubt prices have gone up a huge amount.
Happy to provide their contact details if you're interested.
