Putting a mirror up?

I have a heavyish pine framed mirror I want to put up, just unsure of fittings I would need. It measures 2ft x 2.5ft and has a pine frame.
Can I use just normal picture hooks?

you need to choose proper twine - i've used standard string in the past.
It's slightly elastic and it also frays against the picture hooks in time. My picture fell off the wall after a while.
It also repends on the wall you're hanging it on. Is it tiled bathroom? drilled holes and rawlplugs if that's the case.
Otherwise i'd imagine picture hooks would be fine.
EDIT : depending on the weight, you could use 2 picture hooks to spread the weight. Or use a larger nail hammered into the wall.

If its really heavy i would use raw plugs and a screw/hook.
I always use wire screwed to the rear of the mirror hooking it over the screw on the wall0
