Morning all its a nice quiet one this morning DGS has gone home he will be back on Sunday as we are meeting DD as her DH is running the marathon so she thought it would save me getting upon Monday morning if i brought him home so another short weekend for me .I should really go shopping but i am going to go tomorrow as i need to tidy the house after the weeks whirlwind  not sure what's for dinner yet i need to put my fleece on to see what's in the big freezer its so cold again.  I have put the heating on for an hour or so to try to warm the house as we are on a corner we really seem to get cold quickly

Morning all

Dry and sunny here but very chilly I can’t believe we are still lighting the log burner in the evenings ! Still no Rob as he is still poorly but she has at least got the sample to the Dr which is good, hopefully he will be back Monday.

We have a man coming today to service the boiler I have to have it done annually as part of my job and I’ve had terrible trouble getting hold of a plumber, this one seems nice so hopefully I can book him going forward.

Salmon for dinner tonight with roasted veg couscous and some green beans, I have a towel load just finishing so will get those on the line for a while.

Morning all! Sunny and not windy! Who'd a thunk it? Off to Costco today which I'm beginning to regret agreeing to since I want to be gardening, which involves a lot of standing around thinking about what's going where. I did stop off yesterday at the reclaim place but wood was more expensive than the metal bed, so of course, I stopped off and got another metal bed...and three plants and two packets of seeds. Cosmos is featuring heavily this year and more geraniums when I see the right colour [ the orangey pinky red ones] I must look out my metal detector manual too, god knows where that is, at least the batteries are charged for use...Ohs stepdad wants to go and do some on the beach somewhere, looking forward to that. Don't know when though...Made a meatball sauce last night so pasta tonight..

Nanny, fingers crossed for today, hope ll goes well. Scarlet, glad you had a nice time! Florence, dementia is a real !!!!!!. One of our friends mothers has early onset, in some ways worse than dying early I think because when they end up not knowing you but you still know them, just awful. dp1, I love a good first aid course, the st johns ones were always interesting, the scenaros they used to come up with..Gers, happy haircut but happier belly pork!  Rosy, that's a lovely story about making up stories...Izzy, isn't that a hairdresser thing? along with asking about your holidays...:) bella, save you getting up early? very thoughtful...? Ruby, fingers crossed for Rob..Take care all, hope the weather is kind to you!

Just a quickie - I'm going to have a nice bath to warm myself up.
Gers yes we still did bandaging and slings, always a laugh bandaging up the person next to you. It was the same man running the course as last time I did it, he was interesting to listen to and we finished a little bit earlier than we were meant to. Tea and little packets of biscuits were provided too.
