Is it possible to get a bank account with no overdraft? My son is 18 soon and doesn't want an overdraft facility due to his ADHD

Chase, Starling, Monzo, Kroo all come without overdraft by default.0

You cannot usually apply for a Basic account - and even where you can. if you would be eligible for a 'normal' current account, you wouldn't get the basic one.0 -
Chase is a good one. It’s an app based bank account that doesn’t have an overdraft. I’m a lot older than your son but I have ADHD and I find the way that Chase displays my spending really useful. They have round ups too which is nice because it encourages you to save without making any effort .Save £12k in 2024: £13,542/£12,0000

I've just had an email from RBS about my current account that I've had for over 30 years, they are removing my overdraft limit, do you think they want rid of me?0

I asked Monzo not to allow me an overdraft, I don’t have one but not sure what would happen if I actually requested one.1100 bonus saver

Nationwide:"We don’t offer unarranged overdrafts at Nationwide. Instead, we’ll try to stop any payments from coming out of your account if you don’t have enough money."0
