in Cutting tax
I was made redundant last April (2023) long story short only in late March 2024 got a new job.
Gave my P45 to them, first paycheck for only a couple days was 0T tax code which I believe is a emergency tax code.
Now a few days ago the payroll team came back with the following
"Please be informed this P45 will be rejected as there is an P9X interface from HMRC on our system"
Can't seem to figure out what this means, anyone got any ideas? 💡

It simply means that HMRC have provided your tax code for 2024/25, probably electronically.Fashion on the Ration
2024 - 43/66 coupons used, carry forward 23
2025 - 60.5/891 -
By the way, if you haven’t already, consider getting the HMRC app. I’m quite impressed with it.Fashion on the Ration

0T is meant to be used when an employee or employer hasn't complied with the new starter process.
If you check your Personal Tax Account it could be that HMRC have issued a new code, often 1257L on a cumulative basis.
Which on the (limited) info you have provided could well be correct. But possibly not, impossible to know without full details.1 -
I have checked on HMRC and it's showing my tax code has now been updated to 1257L, which was the same as last year.0

They don't do anything special, it's just by using the tax code they have been sent sorts it out.0 -
Well i had the next months payslip and again its showing "0T"0

Depends how they get their tax code notices.0

I'm with Tesco's now.
Trouble is they have no wages departments no more you can call or just pop into the office, all has to be done via internal tickets.
HMRC insist when I call them they have pushed my correct tax code to Tesco and Tesco say they only have "0T" from HMRC.
When I check via HMRC myself though the app shows correctly Tesco and my correct tax code 1257L 🤷0
