New build labour VAT

hi
just wondering if anyone knows i have just gone over the 85k threshold for vat from march 23 to 24 in last week of march by 2k
i am a window fitter labour only on cis scheme so what i don’t understand is i need to register for vat as over threshold but it states no vat on new builds and i only do new builds does anyone have any knowledge of this
this is a one of and i dont expect to exceed the new 90k threshold from now on

Technically new build work is zero rated, therefore Vat applies, but at 0%.
As such, it forms part of the VAT taxable turnover amount assessed against the registration threshold.
HOWEVER, if all (or "most) of your work is zero rated then you can claim exemption from vat registration = see para 3.11
