Potential faulty catalytic converter

Hi all,
Last September I had a new Catalytic converter fitted as the old one was corroded. Ever since then the cars engine warning light keeps coming on and off, with fault codes reading a Catalytic converter issue.
I have asked the mechanic who fitted it to put in a warranty claim as I'm not happy that the part isn't registering properly to the car.
He put a claim in 10 days ago, I'm still waiting for an update form him.
The question really is: What can I expect from this, and is there anything I can do to help me?
Thanks in advance

Hi, yes I have been asking daily now for an update, he had said that he received an update this morning 17-4-24, and that he would call me. As of time of writing I'm still waiting to hear from him, even though I have tried calling himborn_again said:Could be the 02 sensor?
