Cat flea collar

Our vet has a system where we pay £16.50 a month which covers flea and worm treatments and annual vaccinations. We had terrible trouble putting flea treatment on because he is so long haired. The first time we tried we got the stuff on us, not the cat! Now we go every three months and a vet nurse puts his treatment on, he gets weighed and is given a quick once-over at the same time. Every six months he has a worm treatment as well. Our cat is in the cattery at least 4 times a year so we have to make sure he is flea free and that vaccinations are up to date. I would never use a flea collar, he loses his normal collar regularly and my previous experiences with them have not been good, one old cat had a bald neck because of one! I know our way is not 'money saving' but it saves us and the cat a lot of stress, he is quite calm in the vets so for us its worth it.1

We have just put a Selesta collar on our cat. She is more or less a house cat and very elderly so won't lose collar, however she has had diarrhoea since. This morning's motion was a little more solid. Anyone know if this will subside?0
