Believe it or not I have a degree in English, and this Inheritance tax jargon has me flummoxed.
What is the answer to this?
Q14. Enter the value of the residential enhancement for the person whose estate you are dealing with now.

If anyone else wants to fry their brain, this is the offending form: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/630898a6e90e0729dd8bb41b/IHT436.pdf
Mixing percentages and decimals (to four places!) is a surefire guarantee of confusing at least half the population...Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Thanks for that. I have several forms like that to plough through. They are inaccessible to a regular person, totally incomprehensible. My dad died two months ago, and I am so depressed on top of the anti depressants I already take, I’m now taking diazapam. I feel physically sick looking at these forms.Marcon said:If anyone else wants to fry their brain, this is the offending form: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/630898a6e90e0729dd8bb41b/IHT436.pdf
