Hi
Back in my early days of investing I was taking bites out of lot of apples and i took a chunk £5000 at the above company adventurous portfolio. This was in 2000 and its current valuation has got back to a high of 4146 so I have decided to sell it and stick the proceeds in something else (not sure what yet) This PF has never been more than my initial investment and every statement shows lots of small transactions in lots of funds changing frequently. I cannot understand over 24 years it has never even broken even has anyone else any experience with these ?
My plan now is to sell anyway but as I am making a loss and this is not in ISA how do I carry forward that loss as i have other investments I wish to sell this year that i want to use my CGT allowance
thanks

I cannot understand over 24 years it has never even broken even has anyone else any experience with these ?It sounds like you invested after the tech boom just before the dot.com crash (tech fell 90% in value).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
