Microsoft's Phone Link (Win10) no good after changing MS password & adding 2FA

Top & bottom if it is the thread title. Phone Link was working fine. It now doesn't 'see' my phone.
It asks me to open a QR code & then scan it using the camera on my phone but when I do this it says Invalid QR code.
How do I link up my phone with Windows 10? It was a pretty handy feature which I used fairly frequently tbh.
