I bought a 55” Sony from Richer Sounds last week after they beat Costco price by £20.  A saving of £160 on marked price. All other retailers had same marked price.

Surprised they matched Costco given in principle it's not "open to the public" but no, their T&Cs say they match both members clubs and employee discounts. Would be a laugh to try and get them to match my employee discount given they say they need to see your employeeID which for my current client is simply a white plastic card with your name in marker pen on it (everyone's is the same)

Richer Sounds are my first port of call and I'll then go elsewhere if I can't get what I want there.

Had cause to use their warranty on my last large screen TV a couple years ago. By then TV was three years old. Called them and Engineer came out, he was back a few days later with a replacement motherboard.

Personally I would go with John Lewis, though mainly because there is one ten minutes from home, so it would be very convenient for me to pick up from.

    Richer Sounds for me
Lost my warranty for an LG tv, rang them up to be told it had six months warranty left. They asked had all the colours gone wishy washy, when I told them yes.
They told me it was a known problem.

Told me an engineer would call to arrange a visit, they rang within the hour to arrange repair. Giving me a time and date

Turned up on time, only disappointment was he said he was taking the TV away for repairs and Richer Sounds should have told me this

Rang Richer Sounds and they offered a loan set

Four days later engineer rang to give a date and time for the tv to be delivered back
Delivered back on the date given and within the time slot

Richer Sounds every time for me

As expected plenty of views which have confirmed my ranking of 1) Richer Sounds, 2) John Lewis 3) Samsung - JL might have been higher had they not closed our local store 10mins away

and @DullGreyGuy as a bonus of the 2024 models becoming available my chosen '23 model has now been reduced by 22%

Another plus point with RS is that they have demo rooms where you can try the kit out before making your choice.
