Hi. We have a pond which is about 10ft x 8 ft x 3ft deep. It has a pump and a waterfall in it already. I'm thinking about getting a pump with a fountain attachment just to use for the fountain. Do I need to get one for the total water in the pond or can I just get a little one like a lotus pond pump 400

For a pond that size with a pump and waterfall already installed, adding a fountain attachment can be a nice touch. The Lotus Pond Pump 400 sounds like it could be a suitable choice for the fountain feature alone. Since the primary purpose of this pump would be to operate the fountain, it doesn't necessarily need to handle the entire volume of water in the pond. As long as it's capable of circulating water effectively through the fountain, it should suffice. Just make sure it's compatible with the fountain attachment you're planning to use and that it provides the desired water flow and height for your fountain display.
