Anyone else wake up to Microsoft account security notifications?

I did this morning. Apparently someone from Germany was trying it on (makes a change from the east). Microsoft wanting me to change my password (done that).
I was out early so messaged my wife to just make sure her 2FA is on & turns out she woke up to the same security notification too.
We do have a few shared To-Do lists so our Microsoft accounts could be linked in that sense but outside of that it's a bit odd (to me) we both got hit on the same day.
Wondered if maybe others here had had the same lately & whether it's a known thing with Microsoft at the moment or whether it was just totally coincidental for us.

What was this nature of this 'notification'? TBH sounds more like you've spoofed in some way.0

Did you follow a link or did you logon to your MS Account ?
If you followed a link I would recommend logging in directly and changing the password.

Why is that?
So I did what I always do in these situations - I ignored all links & notifications & went direct to the website itself to log in. Sure enough it wouldn't let me & prompted me to change my password which I did.
I followed this up by 1) checking recent account activity - hence the comment in my OP about Germany 2) Contacting Microsoft Live Chat who confirmed the notifications.

Did you get a security code in the Notification to use when logging in?0

The notification told me I was locked out due to making too many incorrect login attempts. Untrue as all I was doing was checking my emails.0

Have just had to check now because like I said, I ignore all notifications & emails when things like this happen & go direct to the website.Vitor said:Did you get a security code in the Notification to use when logging in?
Turns out no I didn't .... until I came to change my password & then I did.
Same with when I was on the live chat.0
