How to post audio file to forum

I would like to add a small  (415KB) audio file to a post on a forum I frequent which was built with/runs on SimplePortal 2.3.5. However, there is no provision for uploading such a file.  Can I upload it somewhere else and link to that, or is there another way to achieve the same result?

Ah.  That sounds like something I'm capable of!  Off now to google how to do that ...

If you have a Google account you will have Google Drive already. Simply upload the file to it and then obtain the sharable link to it.

What is the file type?
You could add a photo to it and turn it into an MP4 or similar and then upload to YouTube.
