I've decided to buy a laptop, I have a desktop set up currently. But just to give me more flexibility, including sitting out when the weather is nice - twice a year?!  :D Thinking an inexpensive refurbished one, quite fancy a touchscreen.

Currently looking at these, which both have an extra 20% off on eBay app.

Lenovo - £151.99 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/326063089578

Dell £143.99 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325974707398  Am looking at 8GB / 256GB SSD / W10 model, as can upgrade to W11 myself.

To me other than the touchscreen, the spec seems more or less identical - is that correct?

I mainly want it for browsing, emails, YouTube, and Teams / Zoom meetings, but would want one that is nippy / not sluggish! I'm happy with the 13.3 screen size, as will work out better storage wise for me.

Also, just wondering what people generally find are the pros ,and cons of a touchscreen laptop?

Big thanks for your help!  :)

Why do you fancy a touchscreen?

My laptop is a touchscreen , very similar specs to the lenovo and the same brand , cracking laptop with about the ony thing I don't use on it is the touchscreen!

Reason why is I am very used to using a laptop as a laptop not as a tablet and it's easier plus when I tried the touchscreen all I left over the screen was greasy fingerprints and that was all that I could see

I will not consider a touch screen laptop again

Make sure you get one that can run Windows 11, support for the much loved 10 ends next year.

Thanks both, yes the 2 models are capable of running W11.

I'm not totally sure why a touchscreen, appeals to me  - just like the flexible idea of it I suppose!  :D With the price difference being less than £10, seems worth a go, to see how I get on with one!

Anything 8th gen and above will run Windows 11     , with a bit of faffing anything can run Windows 11 (within reason)
