car dealership email esign
Have paid balance for a nearly new car into a car dealerships bank account and got confirmation that the money had been received. Taking own car to part exchange and also paid a small deposit. Have recieved nuemrous emails to esign. Have already spoken to salesman and sales manager on phone and face to face. Explained we would rather sign paperwork when we go to exchange. Do we need to esign any of the emailed document or just turn up as agreed for a set time and date. The sales manager told us we would get an email to click on. The email wording "invites " us to esign. The sales person we rang once we got emails just told us to bring our paperwork which he then agreed he already had from when we met face to face to choose the car. They have our money. We were going down PCP route but already visited dealership showroom and cancelled that as decided to pay full amount due instead.

What's your issue with signing an online version instead of a paper copy which has to be scanned in?
You get a copy instantly once signed online so it's much faster much more convenient for everyone1 -
Wet signatures are open to wide open to (easy) abuse and fraud, e-signatures are much more secure. I cannot remember the last time I signed something with an actual pen in the last eight years.0

Yep same as that, visited showroom, test drove & was given figures.
Went away to think it over, asked for more on my PX & they agreed, sent me the documents to sign electronically & signed.
Lovely job.1 -
Not everyone has access to required technology to print off. Thankyou for all your opinions though. Surely choice should be customers anyway. All sorted and in a way we are happier with. As we changed our minds it was good we handt doen the esigning which would have been more difficult to cancel too apparantly. Al the esigning would have done for us was commit to something we werent happy with. It was much easier to resort face to face.0
