Migration to UC - In-year finalisation questions

Hi @spaniel101, I was hoping to ask you how you initially dealt with the private pension contributions once you had moved over to UC. I have put a note on my journal, which they haven't responded to, but TBH I suspect that no response is needed unless there was an issue, so that's not a worry. I don't know where to flag up in my UC journal that I am making private pension contributions, and how/where to submit evidence of this. Is it in the journal, that I request to be able to add evidence, or perhaps something in 'report a change'?0

journal, but reply is not quick.
You can call UC on 0800 328 5644 to ask for Case Manager to call to discuss the pension and process required.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -
Your statement will automatically be produced without the pension contributions acknowledged (but always report them on your journal on the day you make the contribution).
You then need to request an 'upload' function to provide evidence of your pension contribution statement every month for MR.
Unfortunately my Journal is never read, this always results in telephone call to flag a case manager to respond with the 'upload' function before the end of assessment period, and confirmation that an MR has been submitted on my behalf to the Decision Maker (each month).
If they still don't respond, put a complaint in online stating such (this will then be picked up by a complaints resolution manager who will flag it with case manager/decision maker).
My MR's usually come back within a week or so and paid the due amount (statement is recalculated).1 -
