Cupboard wall removal

Hi
My property has a corridor type hallway with numerous cupboards built in.
One of which is in a corner near the front door. It's quite useful for coats and it also hides the consumer unit. It makes the area quite narrow though and limits space at the foot of the stairs.
Just considering removing it as I'm redecorating the hall and putting in new flooring.
I've also had an aircon unit installed above the door so would need to look into disconnecting it temporarily.
Amy ideas appreciated.

I have a couple of stud walls here that don't appear to be supporting anything. Remove them at your peril - Two support an upstairs ceiling, another on the ground floor, joists from a room above plus the top of the stairs.danrv said:

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Just looking at this again as I'm decorating the hallway and laying new flooring.
In hindsight, it would have been better to have done this before having the aircon/heating installed.
Was all wrapped up with figuring out the best heating replacement for my previous electric warm air system.
The joys of DIY home renovation.
The air handler refrigerant and drain pipes would need to be extended two or three foot and the unit then repositioned.
It's in an ideal place at the moment as it heats the hallway and stairwell/landing so that's a plus.
It's the new stick down flooring that would be difficult to patch up if the cupboard was to be removed after decoration.
