Guesswork from loss adjuster?

Options
A loss adjuster has said that a crack in my house is "typical cracking related to thermal movement".

This is not a concrete opinion though, what is the case here, do loss adjusters just make educated guesses, or should I push for proper confirmation?

What sort of opinion is it then, and what alternative sort of opinion do you think you would be able to get? (I've refained from making any jokes about it being a "concrete" opinion!).

Well it is kind off implied in your post…

If you feel you need further professional opinions your next option is, I believe, to employ a structural engineer.

…..but I would only spend out on that if I believed the loss adjuster was incorrect 😉
